HCF announced today it would waive health insurance premiums for the remainder of this financial year for members of both HCF and Manchester Unity who are experiencing financial hardship as a result of the Victorian bushfires.
Terry Smith, CEO of HCF said: HCF as a not-for-profit health fund is taking a compassionate approach to affected members in this difficult time. Ensuring our survivor’s health insurance was secure is one less problem they will face as they re-establish their lives. We don’t want our members worrying about paying their health insurance premiums while they need to recover from this ordeal.
Any members experiencing financial difficulties should call us on 13 13 34 (Manchester Unity members please call 13 13 72)
HCF is also matching donations by staff members to the Red Cross bushfire appeal. So far HCF and Manchester Unity staff have donated over $22,000 and with HCF’s contribution already $50,000 has been raised for bush fire victim relief.
